Studio Policies 

 

Space is NOT soundproof, our studio is shared unit with others, please always keep your voice lower than 100 db in all area (We have a Sound Level Meter with large LCD Display in the studio, if you are louder than 100 db, the volume alarm will be triggered).

No excessive laughing or screaming, please be respectful that we have neighbours!

 

Bookings & Cancellations

  1. Payment is required in full in order to book the studio.
  2. Refundable damage deposit of $300 required for bookings. (No exception), deposit is to be refunded in full after check-out if no damage occurs.
  3. We accept PayPal and credit card transactions for our online bookings. Payments for additional time or rental items are processed onsite at FotoFoto Studios through credit card or debit. Cash and e-transfer payments are also accepted.
  4. Guests may cancel their Booking until 24 hours before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price.
  5. Bookings cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable.

 

General Rules 

  1. Business hours – Our regular-priced booking is scheduled from 9am to 7 p.m. Before and After-hour bookings are accepted on a case by case basis， and will be scheduled and booked manually. Pricing may vary. Please contact us for details.
  2. Overtime – Please be aware, your time slot includes time required for you to set-up and clean-up. Early arrivals are not permitted and your end time is determined when the last person leaves the studio. Overtime fees of $60/hour will be applied for any time spent in the studio after your booked time slot and will be applied at 15 minute intervals. (i.e. $15 for the first 15 minutes, $30 for 16-30 minutes, etc). All prices are subject to HST.
  3. Capacity – Your reservation includes up to 6 people in the studio. For additional guests, please contact us for fees and information prior to booking.
  4. Privacy – Feel free to use studio and makeup room,  but please do not enter the private offices, or back storage room, treatment rooms, all activity must be contained within the studio or changing room; no activity permitted in other area. 
  5. Cleaning Fee – Space is expected to be in the same condition guests received it，garbage must be placed in garbage cans. A cleaning fee of $200 + HST will be applied to any bookings where garbage, spills, etc are left behind. 
  6. Liability – It is the responsibility of the renter to ensure proper insurance coverage upon  renting the studio. We are not responsible for any bodily injury, loss, emotional abuse, property damage or theft incurred to persons or property either in the studio, changing room, or the common areas. 
  7. Prohibited Items/Usage – Glitter, confetti, feathers, fake snow, cake smashes, sparklers, open flames, hazers, smoke machines and similar items are not permitted in the studio. No smoking, vaping or drinking alcohol in studio. Intoxicated guests are not permitted. The studio cannot be used for shooting illegal, offensive or pornographic content.
  8. Damages – Please take great care of our space. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items should be used on our walls. Any tape or gummed backing materials must be properly removed. If there are any damages to the floor / furniture / equipment, you will be asked to reimburse the cost of the damage. 
  9. Security – The studio uses security cameras at the entrance area to confirm the number of people in the studio as well as the time you leave the studio. Security cameras are on site for your safety and to document insurance and deposit claims.
  10. Food and Drink – No cooking or food warmer device allowed (any catering and food must be delivered already cooked ) 
  11. Age Range – Age range for guests in studio are 7yrs old and up. For new born baby or child photography ( 6 years old and under), please contact us before booking. 
  12. Pets – Pets will require special permission and if permitted, there will be a $50 + HST fee, per pet. Please contact us for more information.
  13. Outdoor Footwear – Please do not step on the canvas or paper backdrop with outdoor shoes. During winter months, we have a ‘no outdoor shoes policy’ inside our space due to puddles left behind by snow & slush. Please inform your guests ahead of time so they can pack indoor shoes, and leave outdoor shoes by the door on the mat.
  14. Washroom – We have two unisex washrooms available for guest use,  but there are all shared with others. Please keep studio door always closed when going to washroom.
  15. Check Out – Our reception staff will visit the studio room 5-10 minutes prior to the end of your booking to ensure that the room is left in its original condition. Furniture and props must be moved back to their original place. A $50 – $100 fee may apply if these rules are broken.
  16. Termination –  A studio manager will check the studio during a booking if we suspect there is a violation of studio rules. We reserve the right to immediately terminate any bookings without a refund if guests fail to respect the studio manager and studio policies.
